Scheduling

The scheduling process for the 2008-2009 school year began on Thursday, February 14th. Students attended an assembly that details the process for selecting their proposed schedule as well as conveys the information needed to apply for Honors, XL and/or AP classes.

On Tuesday, March 11th students will indicate their course preferences during a special Homeroom period.

  • Students must return the completed Scheduling Worksheet with a Parent Signature to their homeroom teacher on this day.
  • The Course Numbers for each course are listed on the back of the Scheduling Worksheet; carefully transfer these Course Numbers onto the PRACTICE Registration Form.
  • In Homeroom on March 11th, students will fill out the scannable Registration Form indicating their course preferences. They should use the information on the PRACTICE Registration Form to fill out the official scannable Registration Form.
  • Course Descriptions may be accessed online at: http://www.jhssac.org/Academics/department/coursecatalog.swf
  • The students have been taught how to fill out the Scheduling Worksheet and course Registration Form. They may select their courses for next year, but do not select teachers or periods. This is done automatically by our computer scheduling program over the summer.
  • After the Scheduling Homeroom on March 11th, schedule changes may be requested by contacting Mrs. Wagner in writing or by email WagnerM@jhssac.org.

If you have any questions, please direct them to your son's counselor or to his subject area teacher.

Applications for honors / XL / XP courses were made available to students on February 14th in the Main Office and Counseling Center. All applications are due on March 11th and late applications will not be accepted.
