Jesuit High School

WASC Accreditation Visit
Every six years, all public and private high schools and colleges are required to get "re-certified." Schools spend 12-18 months preparing a "self-study" report and then have a team of educators spend three days on campus interviewing staff and students and observing classes. In simplest terms, the process asks schools to determine "Where they are? ... Where they want to be? ... and How they plan to get there?"
Our report includes a Progress Report covering our last Five Year Plan for School Improvement, eighteen criterion-based Self-Study Reports to determine Areas of Strength and Areas of Growth and a preliminary Action Plan to assist us in writing our next Five Year Plan.
Our accreditation visit will take place October 28th - 31st. Six educators including administrators from Portland, Redding, the San Francisco bay area and Sacramento (Christian Brothers and St. Francis) will come to Jesuit to help us complete this process. We will have regular school days during this visit with the exception of Wednesday, October 31st (Halloween) which will have an early dismissal for students (2:00 pm - as indicated on the school calendar) so that the WASC Team can present their report to the Jesuit Faculty and Staff.
Last fall, we published the results of the Parent and Student WASC Surveys on our web site. We have now posted our Progress Report, our Student / Community Profile and our preliminary Action Plan. The links to each of these documents are listed below.
