The faculty and staff at Jesuit are committed and dedicated to educating young men inside and outside the classroom, and providing examples for them with their own lives. For this reason, the Jesuit faculty/staff participate in retreats and prayer breakfasts: occasions for faculty/staff to deepen their faith in Jesus Christ and in the understanding of the major spiritual principles in the teaching of St. Ignatius Loyola, the founder of the Society of Jesus, known as the Jesuits. The faculty/staff pray together at the beginning of all faculty/staff meetings.
Faculty/staff are invited to make the “Spiritual Exercises” of St. Ignatius over the course of a seven-month period, referred to as the 19th Annotated Retreat. Faculty/staff who have made this retreat lead others in opportunities for prayer and faith sharing on a regular basis. In order for the faculty/staff to assist in the spiritual formation of the students, they are constantly encouraged and strengthened in their own faith journey. The faculty and staff at Jesuit High will participate in an overnight retreat in January.
Faculty/staff are invited to participate in Christian Life Communities as facilitators and members. Faculty/staff members also serve on the Liturgy Committee, as Liturgical Ministers, CLC guides, chaplains, and retreat leaders.
Christian Life Communities
Students are encouraged to join a CLC. CLC are small faith communities made up of five to ten students who want to explore their spirituality. CLC meet weekly to support and challenge each other along their journey of faith. Faculty/staff members lead CLC. If you are interested in CLC or you want more information, please contact Mr. LeBoeuf.
Campus Ministry Advisory Team
Students are encouraged to participate on the advisory team in order to improve existing CM events and programs and create new opportunities for religious and spiritual growth. If you are interested in becoming a member of the CMAT, please see Mr. LeBoeuf on campus or email Mr. LeBoeuf.
